10 Percent Bigger

My ADD is firing, or random strings of thoughts.

This weekend I missed the Thrilla wit Walrilla, because I had a BJJ seminar. The only thing that keeps that from being extremely nerdy, is the fact that I had prepaid. Instead of being nerdy, I was frugal. I don't know if that is any better.

We have a Ping Pong table at work. I recently went to Academy, because we needed some ping pong balls. Did you know they have different ratings? Apparently a match isn't sanctioned if you don't use a 3 star or better ball. I wonder if they have a guy who tests these to determine the correct rating. Do you think he goes to parties, and tells people he is a pingpong ball quality rater? If he does, does anyone believe him?

When I go to parties I often tell people I am the Editor in Chief for Alpaca Monthly. Depending on the crowd, I might tell them I'm thinking of diversifying into Hamster farming, as the Alpaca market is too cyclical.

The first person to invent a bed that stays cool all night long (not a waterbed), will make a Million dollars. Heck, even a stay cool pillow would be choice.

I took a first aid/CPR class last week, since my certification had expired. I think receiving CPR would hurt like a mofo, but probably not as much as dieing.

As it gets cooler, the building I work in cranks up the heat. I think they hate long sleeve clothes.

Damn McDonald's and their silly Monopoly game. I know I won't win, but it got me addicted to their fries again. Their fries are what we consider "Awesome".

I'm off to NYC tomorrow. I want to bring my camera, but can't figure out how to do it without looking like a tourist. Maybe I should just suck it up and look like a tourist.

Well, that is about it. A quick stream of conscious excercise. Sometimes it helps to give in to the stream for abit, so that I can get back to what I need to do. Well, at least I didn't use an elipsys.

Post Secret and a visitor.

Picked up the newest Post Secret Book today. If you haven't read/heard of them before, it started off as a project by Frank Warren. He asked people anonymously send their deepest secrets to him via postcard. Some are uplifting, some or extremely depressing, and some are even creepy. Reading them, I feel a bit voyeuristic. Almost like I will get busted reading them at any minute.

Also, my big sis Nuttnbunny was down for a visit. We did a bit of shopping, ate entirely too much Sushi, and visited a really cool new Wine Bar named Fion (No website yet, but that was a link to more info). It wasn't snooty at all, and Josh the owner is a very friendly guy. I had a Syrah wine flight ($12 for 3 glasses), plus they have desserts which I shouldn't eat. They also offer a nice cigar selection if you want, but only allow smoking outdoors [sarcasm]thanks Austin/Lakeway city council[/sarcasm]. Haven't smoked any cigars lately, as it has been too hot, but as it cools down, I might have to grab a bourbon and a smoke and go soak in the hottub. Cliche I know, but take your relaxation when you can.

Not much picture taking this weekend, but as I sort through what I uploaded last night, I may post a picture or two.

Four

My 4th stripe on my belt. Each one of those was earned with blood, sweat, and even tears. Next one will be a blue belt. That scare the crap out of me. Heck, I'm not even sure I deserve this one. Not to mention I'm only about 50% right now, as I have an inflamed Sacroiliac Joint. The SI joint carries most of the bodies weight, and on some people it tends to get inflamed. They say the pain is similar to a bulged lumbar disk, I don't know what a bulged disc feels like, but I know this ain't a picnic.

I actually got the stripe on Wednesday, right after a chiropractor adjustment. Figures the day I'm having back/hip pain, we practice sprawls, takedowns, and pulling guard. Coach said you aren't training hard enough if you aren't constantly injured.
